34% Of People Think MJ Could Beat LeBron RIGHT NOW

You know how when two people from two completely different eras are super good at a sport and people drag out endless conversations trying to determine how a match-up would actually go between them?

Well, don’t worry, the Public Policy Polling just finished conducting a survey to help fuel the fire… I mean, help sort things out.

ESPN reveals that Public Policy Polling set out to determine who would win a 1-on-1 match-up between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, discovering that 34 percent of 1,471 respondents think that MJ could take LeBron right now.

As in, right this second. As in, get them a ball and a court right now. As in, a 51-year-old Michael Jordon taking on a dominant LBJ at the peak of his NBA career.

Well, there you have it, folks. Now next time you have a debate about this very topic, you can tell them you have science behind you. Case closed, we can all go home now.

Oh, and should you care, the survey also asked voters to determine who is the greatest player of all time, with 77 percent siding with his royal airness, 14 percent going with LeBron, and the remaining nine percent asking, “why the hell are you wasting my time with this poll?”

Although we will likely never see MJ vs. LeBron, that isn’t to say the two aren’t without a potential reason for a feud in the near future. Thankfully nothing has come from that rumor just yet, but for all we know it could be the missing ingredient to prompt a 1-on-1 match-up to actually take place.

Until then, we can just waste more time debating theoretical scenarios.
